VVP 18Borga BPE 18/VVP 18 is assembled to the wood using screws. While fastening to profiles screws should be used. Screws should be fastened to the bottom section of profiles. The metal sheet should be fastened with screws in every bottom section of the profiles in the upper and lower ends, as well as on the transverse joints. Sidelaps should be riveted or screwed using screws on laps at a maximum distance of 500 mm.
We offer a wide variety of standard colors. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION FOR VVP 18 Assembly ElevationProfiled metal sheets are assembled on the base of wooden patches or on purlins type Z. The size of the patches depend on the pressure of the wind against the wall, the spacing of slats and spans between supports.Distances between the girts are adapted to allow for isolation, this is usually 600 or 1200 mm. If the wall is not isolated, the distance between the girts should not be greater than 1500 mm. In areas of a high wind pressure (for example on the coast or around tall buildings), the maximum permissible girt spacing should be in accordance to our table of charges. To obtain more information, please contact one of our dealers. The metal sheet should be assembled as shown in picture 6. Please notice that the first metal sheet should be accurately plumbed. If metal sheets need to be bound crosswise, the joint can be made as shown in picture 1 using a joint or asin picture 2, using a overlap. If you use a joint, you have the possibility of adding a metal sheet of a different color, this will give an interesting appearance to the front of a building. The metal sheet can be used to colorfully decorate elevations by assembling it horizontally, perpendicular or at an angle of less than o 45 and in different colors. Metal sheets type BPE 18/VVP 18 are produced from a steel metal sheet which is cold rolled and hot zinc-plated according to the 2 Sendzimir method (zinc-plated in sheets with zinc coat of 275 g/m , ASTM 52571, 25 m/layer). The metal sheet is then covered with a passivation layer, base and then a colored layer of Polyester or Plastisol paint is applied. The choice of coats depends on external environmental conditions. The external angles and other elements of trims are screwed or riveted at a maximum distance of 300 mm, as shown in picture 3. We have a full selection of trims such as angles, gable trims, over gutter strips, external window sills etc. We can also produce trims specific to the individual needs of our customers. The base made of matched boardThe wooden boards need to be at least 17 mm thick and should be covered with roof base paste board. A wooden purlin or a Borga type steel patch (drawing No. 5) should be used. If you use our steel patch, you do not need a bed laths, it possesses good ventilation properties. Metal sheets can be assembled without using split laths, but in this case a completely smooth surface is required. If you choose to use wooden purlin, you will need additional bed laths 25 x 25 mm, which should be arranged at a distance of 600 mm in the spaces between centers. Purlins (28 x 50 mm) should be arranged on the bed lathes leaving a maximum of 500. The base made of strong wooden laths or from light steel purlins If you do not choose the wooden base, but instead just use purlins, e.g. stronger wooden purlins, glulams or light steel purlins, the distances can be increased. If the room is not heated you should use some kind of condensation protection under the metal roof, For example, Borga system of condensation protection (NonConDrop). Picture
Minimal material westageBorga BPE 18/VVP 18 metals sheet are easy to assembly. They are delivered in different lengths as ordered, which minimizes material wastage.Cutting Material SheetsCutting Metal Sheets The metal sheet should not be cut with an angle grinder, since the protective coat can become decolorized, which results in the loss of any protective anticorrosive properties, as well as the altering the properties of the metal itself! Instead, vibratory scissors should be used. We offer the countershaft for the drifter - NIBBLEX, which can be used for cutting metal sheets.Storage Metal sheets should be kept in a dry and well-ventilated place, preferably in a storage room. Covering with Paint Care should always be taken when painting damaged sections. We offer all the standard paint colors. In order to maintain the appearance of the surface all cut edges should also be painted. Cleaning Once fully assembled, all metal particles and any other debris caused by drilling and riveting should be cleared away. If this is not carried out they can become rusty and decolorize the metal sheets. Paint SystemBorga VVP 18 is delivered with the well and long used paintsystems plastisol or polyester. No matter which solution you choose, we guarantee a minimum durability of 10 years on the painted surface. |
